Lewis Poole

The co-proprietor of the Necropolis Ltd. Lewis is a soft-spoken, almost fatherly type with a certain quiet charisma that wins over many. He's quite image-conscious in that regard: always well-dressed, carrying an old-fashioned pocket watch, often with a subtle cologne wafting after him. During work days, he can often be found leading train tours or appearing when someone demands to speak to Naomi's manager. This deftness and calm makes it all the more terrifying when Lewis does get angry.

If you've never seen Lewis remove those sunglasses he's always wearing, you might think that's all there is to him. You'd be wrong, of course, because it's not ordinary ghosts who haunt that train. It's Lewis himself, in his role as conductor to the world unseen.

Biography

Early Years

In his day, Lewis Poole was much more of an eccentric than we might see him now. Well-read in political theory, refusing to self-censor, there was little he felt the need to hide-- except his attraction to men. But that didn't matter. At the time, he preferred his own companionship, often planning solitary road trips around the lower 48. Make no mistake, he didn't try anything dangerous on these trips. He just didn't expect those ghost stories up in Vermont to be true.

It was through the help of a local vampire that Lewis was able to embrace a newfound status as his own kind of urban legend. Eventually, he even learned to pass as mortal. But he hadn't seen the last of Alex, who he confronted, then befriended, and eventually married.
